4 Things To Do While You’re Visiting the Northwoods.

Are you planning a trip to the North woods soon? Not sure what to do with your family that will make the trip fun and memorable? Here are four things that you can do with your family to make your trip unforgettable!

The Chain of Lakes

The Eagle River – Three Lakes Chain of lakes  consists of 28 lakes, which is the largest inland chain of lakes in the world.  These lakes are the best part of the North woods in my opinion.  You can go boating, tubing, skiing, wake-boarding, kayaking, and so much more.  This is a fun thing you can enjoy with the family all weekend long.

If there happens to be a rainy day while you are vacationing up north, downtown Eagle River or downtown Minocqua are popular places to shop.  They consist of tiny, unique shops ranging from clothing, candy, fudge, furniture, and restaurants.

Renting a cabin for the weekend can be expensive.  If you want to go up north but can’t afford the cabin fee, camping is a fun substitute.  The North woods is filled with State Parks with thousands of campsites to choose from.  You can enjoy peaceful tent camping in the wilderness or if you have an RV there are friendly campsites for those as well.

Flea Market

When Memorial Day arrives, the St. Germain Fire Department hosts one of the largest flea markets in the state. People from all over the state, set up tents every Monday through the summer.  There are crafts, artwork, furniture, antiques, flowers, plants, and fresh produce. This is a family fun event that you can enjoy on a beautiful morning.

These are just a handful of things you can do while vacationing up north.  Check out Midwest Living, which tells you about 12 things you can also do in northern Wisconsin.
